Nicole Maere is the best curly hair stylist in KC. If you have curly hair (whether you wear it straight or natural) she needs to be cutting your hair. She can take your vision for a style and make it actually work for your hair. She gives helpful styling and product tips to ensure you can manage your new 'do at home, as well. I'm always greeted in a friendly manner when I arrive and offered refreshments. The salon is organized and attractive. The staff is very polite and helpful on the phone when calling for an appointment. If you're looking for an expert in curly hair, book with Nicole.
Lindsay does a fabulous job with curly hair! I have looked for a knowledgeable stylists for years, and finally found her when I looked up "Devacurl certified stylists." It's a 40 minute drive for me, but I will gladly make that for someone who does such a great job cutting my unruly, curly hair. She is the only stylist I have never needed a "retrim" from in the few days following a cut. Roughly $50 for a dry cut, "shampoo, " conditioner, and style.
Just got a shape and polish with shellac, which according to Thier website should be $20 for shape and polish plus 10 for the shellac. They charged me 40. Thier shellac color selection is very limited. The nail tech was sweet, but I definitely could have dne a better job myself. It was a bit sloppy. For nails.. Go somewhere else
Best experience ever. Michael is the best.He's professional, talented, knows what he is doing. You can trust his judgement as he will always suggest the best for you. :) I always had terrible experiences in the past in different salons as people first of all don't get what kind of hair cut you want and secondly they would just cut even if it doesn't go with the shape of your face and hair texture. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone looking for a perfect haircut.
RE: Airbrush tan... I've had great experiences in the past with airbrush spray tanning (though I don't do it very often), so I figured I would go that same route with Indulge Salon. I'm not sure if it was the woman I worked with or the color she chose for me (I asked for a subtle tan and she gave me a very dark color), but my hands and feet were much darker/more orange than the rest of my body. It was very uneven and - being as it's a spray tan - I just had to live with it for a week. I wouldn't recommend Indulge for spray tanning.
Michael Katz is the best! I can get in and out quickly over my lunch break, but still get a good quality service. I have looked for a new stylist for a LONG time, and have finally found the right one! Went with Michael's recommendations on cut and bayalage highlights, so exciting!
If you're looking for an INCREDIBLE massage experience, you need to ask for Loma. I am a regular of hers for good reason. I was diagnosed with a disease that leaves me with chronic pain. She works wonders every time. She is insanely talented and is always extremely concerned with your level of relaxation and comfort. I've had massages with various people throughout the years and nothing has come close to my massages with Loma. I highly recommend a 90 minute. It's worth it. You'll thank me.
